We offer women’s artistic squad sessions throughout the week for children that we feel, have exceptional talent to compete for the West Midlands and progress within Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. We have a development programme which caters for gymnasts aged 5 years and up. Our women’s artistic gymnasts train on all four Olympic apparatus and compete at county, regional and national competitions.
Gymnasts for these squads are selected by experienced coaches following an initial trial. The gymnasts are invited because they demonstrate natural physical requirements and potential. Gymnastics is a demanding sport and squad members and their families need to realise that entry into a squad requires enormous commitment. In order to be successful a squad gymnast will need to attend regularly, be committed to their training programme and develop a high level of self-discipline.
