Recreational Classes

GfA is our Programme for recreational level gymnasts and comprises of either a 60 minute or a 90 minute session per week that teaches the fundamentals of Gymnastics in a fun and safe environment. As the name suggests the programme is suitable for any ability level including beginners. During a typical session, gymnasts will spend 10 – 15 minutes warming up and preparing their body to learn new skills. This could include stretching and practising different body shapes such as Tuck, Straddle or Hollow Dish. Once the warm up is complete the class will be split into groups of up to 8 children and they begin to move around each section. These rotations will cover different elements of Gymnastics – our newer members would begin with simpler gymnastic basics that build on the foundations so that they can progress more easily. More experienced gymnasts will move onto more complex skills within the gymnast’s capability. It’s worth remembering that everyone learns at different speeds and the coaches will move gymnasts onto the next step when they are ready. Everyone has the opportunity to take part in the Summer and Christmas displays and Annual Club Championships. Children are put into groups according to age and ability and we will always move gymnasts if we feel that they would be better in another group if they are showing potential or if they need more support. We don’t’ have a structure where gymnasts automatically move to a different time when they get to a certain age. If the whole group stay and progress together, we will keep them together.

Term 1: Monday January 5^th  -Sunday March 15^th   2026  – 10 weeks –  FEES DUE BY DECEMBER 21st – £81.90

Term 2: Monday March 16^th    – Sunday May 24^th 2026– 10 weeks – FEES DUE BY FEBRUARY 27^TH  – £81.90

Term 3: Monday May 25^th    – Sunday August 2^nd  2026– 10 weeks – FEES DUE BY MAY 8^TH   – £81.90

Term 4: Monday August 3^rd     – Sunday October 11^th 2026– 10 weeks –FEES DUE BY JULY 17^TH   – £81.90.

Term 5: Monday October 12^th – Sunday December 20^th   2026 – 10 weeks –FEES DUE BY SEPTEMBER 25^TH     – £81.90

Christmas holidays 2026 – Monday December 21^st – Sunday January 3^rd.

Return to gym Monday January 4^th 2027.

We offer a sibling discount of 5% off the first sibling and 10% off the second sibling and we also off a 5% discount off a second recreational session of gymnastics. These discounts will be on the termly fees slips. Fees are increased annually in the autumn according rises in business rates, coach’s wages, minimum wage etc and anything else that means we have to increase them. We will always try to keep the increases to a minimum and will only increase fees where we have to and give plenty of warning.
